Timing for a handcrafted commission includes both workshop production and carrier transit. Jim confirms the details that apply to your order before dispatch.

Custom production
Most custom builds are estimated at 4–8 weeks after the completed sizing information is returned. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and can change with material availability, customization, and workshop conditions.
Shipping details
The shipping method, destination, charges, and current delivery estimate are confirmed before dispatch when they are not already displayed at checkout.
Deadlines and events
If you need a hat for a specific date or occasion, discuss that date with Jim before placing a deposit. Production and carrier estimates are not guarantees.
Transit damage
If an item arrives damaged in transit, notify Jim within 48 hours of delivery and retain the item, container, and packaging. If the item is confirmed to be damaged, a replacement will be arranged. If the hat only needs to be reshaped, Jim will reshape it and send it back to you. Return instructions will be provided before the item is sent back.
